Power and Performance

Our team of Chevy dealers will show you four engine choices in the Chevy Silverado 1500. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with the further option of four-wheel drive.

  • 7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder: 310 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, with eight-speed automatic transmission
  • 3-liter V8: 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, with six- or ten-speed automatic transmission (varies by drivetrain)
  • 0-liter Duramax® turbodiesel: 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, with ten-speed automatic transmission
  • 2-liter V8: 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, with ten-speed automatic transmission

Towing and Hauling

The Chevy Silverado 1500 offers exceptional towing and hauling ability. When properly equipped, and optioned with the Max Trailering Package, you’ll be able to tow up to 13,300 pounds, and haul up to 2,280 pounds.

You have three bed choices (5-foot-8 inch, 6-foot-6 inch, or 8-foot), each with an integrated bed step and 12 fixed tie-downs. A Multi-Flex tailgate with six different configurations is also available to this new Chevy truck.

Up to six people can fit in the Chevy Silverado 1500, and four-way manually adjustable front seats and vinyl upholstery are standard. Upgrades include heated and ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory settings.

Every model comes with an infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®. Bluetooth® and two USB ports are also standard. Upper trims have a 13.4-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity, and Amazon Alexa®.

Safety

The Chevy Silverado 1500 now comes standard with an assortment of advanced safety features. These include lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and forward collision warning. You can also get rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and — in the top High Country trim — Super Cruise™ semi-autonomous driving capability with trailering support.
